Zoo Sibiu

Sibiu Zoo is located in the Dumbrava Forest and is the first zoo in Romania. It was founded in 1929.

The zoo has an area of 4.8 hectares and houses 135 animals and birds of 35 species (monkeys, bears, white wolves, carpathian wolves, foxes, tigers, lions, jaguars, boars, wild boars, carpathian deer, deer shovels, deer, white buffaloes, ponies, pitons, crocodiles, pheasants, parrots, peacocks, pigeons).

Also in the Dumbrava Forest is the Traditional Folk Civilization Museum Astra, the largest outdoor museum in Romania and Southeastern Europe.
